Information You Enter
A name, phone number, or address typed into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the results. The operators of La Puente Residents Directory do not keep a copy of those searches on their own servers. If you contact us, we receive the information included in your message and use it to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
The hosting service may record ordinary technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the pages and understand general traffic. Basic analytics, cookies, or advertising measurement may also operate where the relevant provider supplies them.
How Information Is Used
Technical information helps operate the reference, diagnose failures, measure broad usage, and improve the content. We do not sell visitor lists or build an individual profile from ordinary visits. Contact messages are used to answer the sender or handle the issue described.
Links to Record Custodians
Pages link to the Los Angeles County Assessor, RR/CC, elections office, court, city request portal, California agencies, libraries, archives, and other providers. Each outside service controls its own privacy practices and the information entered there. Sponsored search tools are operated by a third party and are governed by that provider's policy.
Who Processes Technical Data
Hosting and support providers may process server-log data to keep the reference available. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the technical information described above. Information may be disclosed when a valid legal process requires it. Otherwise, the operators do not disclose contact information as a separate visitor list.
Security and Retention
The pages use an encrypted connection where supported by the hosting setup. Logs are retained only for the operational purposes described above and for as long as those purposes require. There are no user accounts here, so the operators do not hold a password or personal profile for a visitor.
Visitors Under 18
La Puente Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a parent or guardian believes a minor sent information to us, contact us and request deletion of the message or other material we control.
California Privacy Choices
California's Consumer Privacy Act, Civil Code section 1798.100 et seq., as amended by the CPRA, gives covered consumers rights that can include knowing or accessing data, deleting it, correcting it, limiting certain sensitive-information uses, and opting out of sale or sharing. The California Attorney General privacy guidance describes those rights.
Because this reference stores very little, a request normally means checking the contact mailbox and the limited server logs within the operators' control. Use the Contact page to make a request. Government records held by California, Los Angeles County, or La Puente offices are outside this reference's control. A request to change one of those records belongs with the custodian, and the California Public Records Act, Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000, does not itself erase a source record.
Changes to This Policy
When the privacy policy changes, the revised text will be posted here. Continued use after a revision indicates acceptance of the updated policy. The posted version is the one that governs future visits.
